Biryani King is a small, family business led by a family with deep culinary roots and multi-state

restaurant success. The head chef and mastermind of Biryani King is our matriarch. She was

raised in Pakistan and has been serving customers in the US for over 30 years.

In Norfolk, VA, our family owned and operated a sandwich shop, the first food trucks in Norfolk,

VA, and a long-standing convenience store and restaurant with American and Pakistani

favorites. We also expanded to North Carolina, offering American and Pakistani comfort foods.

In both places, our family was proud to have a strong local following.

After life brought our family to Oahu several years ago, we created a small, successful business

handcrafting salt-free spice blends for all palates. But Mama missed the kitchen and her

customers, so we decided to bring the taste of our homeland to our current home. When she

isn’t hanging out with her grandbabies, she’s making the most mouth-watering, authentic

Punjabi soul food you’ll ever taste - at Biryani King!

At Biryani King, you will find from scratch delicacies made with love. Mama blends and roasts

her own spice blends for unique, authentic flavors. She even makes the yogurt and ghee!

Our family is excited to bring the same heart and authenticity to Oahu that we’ve shared with

our customers over the last several decades. What we miss most about our previous

restaurants is the daily connection with our customers, and we are thrilled to rebuild that in

Honolulu. We can’t wait to share our culture with our Oahu community!
